ABSTRACT: The impact of nanotechnology on vocational education for materials science is transformative, providing students with advanced tools and techniques for developing new materials. This study aimed to assess how nanotechnology integration enhances vocational training programs in materials science, identify the specific skills and competencies developed, and measure student satisfaction with nanotechnology-integrated training. A survey design was employed to collect detailed insights from participants using nanotechnology in their vocational education. The sample size included 180 students from various vocational training programs. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with exposure to nanotechnology. The case study was conducted at the Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that nanotechnology significantly improved students' technical skills in material synthesis and characterization, enhanced their problem-solving abilities, and provided hands-on learning experiences. Students expressed high levels of satisfaction with the training, appreciating the practical and immersive approach. It was recommended that vocational training institutions expand their nanotechnology curricula and continuously explore new applications to enhance educational outcomes.
